• Annnd just like that another week passed (more than a week actually) and I haven’t posted nothing- Anyway! Here’s the things I done this week and the planning for the next week:

    I. I started the roterist course and wrote about my gal Elara, the first (second if the sketch guy counts) Kendlebri on my lèxinomni world. I worked on her character and will continue to work on her during the course. The gathered info about her I made during the first tasks are:

Elara’s description: Elara is a servant of the afterlife, helping souls navigate the path to rebirth and excelling at her job, growing in arrogance with each success. However, recently, more and more souls refuse to follow her path, causing Elara to rethink her actions.

WHO? Elara is an arrogant afterlife employee.
WHAT? She wants to discover why souls refuse to follow her path.
HOW? She observes colleagues and begins to listen to souls better.
WHY? Her haste and arrogance make the journey uncomfortable.
Elara represents the Ruler archetype. Always in control of her paths, imposing her visions on others.

    CHARACTER–> Elara
    SKILL–> Speed
    ARCHETYPE–> The Ruler
    FLAW–> Authoritarian
EXTERNAL GOAL–> Convince more souls to follow your path
INTERNAL GOAL–> Learn to manage your emotions and those of others
MAIN DRAMATIC CONFLICT–> Souls are abandoning your path for other guides
DRAMATIC ARC → From rude and unempathetic guide to caring and helpful

These are the info I have for her so far, its what I made during the tasks (along with 5 other characters of my own).

    II. I have yet to upload the attacks from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th week on artfight, there isn’t much despite me telling myself I would do one attack a day. Maybe next year ;;

III. The game project I said on a few posts ago will start today because the deadline is almost here and I haven’t done anything besides the theory parts.

IV. I’m hosting an art raffle on toyhouse to celebrate my 700+ followers, which to me is a lot and I couldn’t be more happy ❤

    V. The time has come for me to do my portfolio, or at least a few pieces, because I have the opportunity to submit my art portfolio and talk with some publishers of my country during an event on September and I need to have SOMETHING to show besides random drawings, so…

These are the things I made this week and will continue to do next week. I’ll probably be back with the portfolio pieces soon, because it needs to be done fast, like really really fast. I mean, the deadline to fill the form to be choosen is August 18th hahaha (I’m crying).

  • Decided to also count this as a challenge, because at the core of it, it is a challenge for me hah.

I’ve been thinking about what I want to (and need to) accomplish until the end of this year (about 4 months left since July is almost ending) and here is the list I got so far.

Have a basic portfolio. One that I can at least show the best art examples I have so far that aren’t just commissions or random art that “looks ok”.
⤷ Mini goal: have at least one 3d project, one worldbuilding project and one game art project + some cool illustrations.
Decide to at least try posting on a social media again and be somewhat active. I mean, I did say at the first post that social media is not for me, but every other event or challenge I want to participate needs me to at least have an account on some social media for them to check, so…
Learn more about C#. Which is a lot since I don’t know nothing but the real basics.
Make a simple casual game. I’m thinking something really simple and basic because of the deadline, a never-ending platform or a Candy Crush-like game perhaps?
⤷ Mini goal: Learn how to launch a game.
Make more posts. The whole idea of this blog is to have a place where I can put all of my thoughts, processes, and keep track of everything; so please Lavi, make more posts and keep the project running.
Create one full 3D model and a basic rig. The donut from the Beginner Tutorial made by Blender Guru definetely don’t count.

It looks like a little list, but I know it will take a lot of work, especially since I’m working on my job or studying for college most of my time. But hey, let’s be positive and work hard to accomplish as many of these as I can do and plan more challenging goals for next year.

  • In short, I’m majoring in Digital Games and in my current lesson the task is to make a game in Unity, which I never did and I’m excited to make.

The game should have the following items:

⋆˚࿔ Game scenario, materials, and texture creation
    ⋆˚࿔ Character movement script
    ⋆˚࿔ Camera movement script
    ⋆˚࿔ Character jump script
⋆˚࿔ Mechanic: painting objects by collision
⋆˚࿔ Mechanic: destroying platforms by stepping
    ⋆˚࿔ Item collection mechanic
    ⋆˚࿔ Menu screen
    ⋆˚࿔ Game completion screen
⋆˚࿔ Win condition: collect an item and paint all

I have a brief idea of what I want to do with this requirements because, even though is for a task and it won’t be a game game, I want to make it fun and cohesive (which might take more time than I have).

  • A list of the current projects I’m working on or will work on + where I’m at it:

⟡ ݁₊ .Lèxinomni world and characters (personal) [LEXI]: On-going priority project that will have multiple other little projects in it. I already have a discord server and a world built on toyhouse.
Lèxinomni are beings forged from emotion, ink, and paper, they exist to carry words to both the living and the departed. The Lèxinomni is made from four obrigatory traits: two simple origami parts (ears and wings), one simple ink part (commonly a tail; ink part can be one color but doesn’t have to be black) with a dip pen, and a barcode (its common anywhere on the body); not necessarly a trait, but all Lèxinomnis have a signature they carry from the moment they learn how to write to the moment it becomes a daily task to sign their names.

What I want to make for this project? A whole worldbuilding with an interactive game, more lore and overall more visual information. I’m at the beginning of the project. Mainly the reason as to why I entered the Concept Art course; at the end of this I should have at least: 4 little projects of 2D and 3D scenery, places, characters and props.

⟡ ݁₊ .Webcomic “Death by glitter” (personal) [DBG]: More info to be announced, but future project with already made concept and general information.

⟡ ݁₊ .Webcomic “Thrown away, picked up” (personal) [TAPU]: More info to be announced, but future project with already made concept and general information.

⟡ ݁₊ .Never-ending platform game (personal) [NEPG]: Future project to make a full never-ending game with personalized art and with a code I’ll make myself. The themes for it are still a question and I’m learning how to program.

⟡ ݁₊ .New prints, stickers, bottons and keychains (personal) [EVEN]: On-going project to make more pieces to sell at art events on my city.

⟡ ݁₊ .Portfolio revival (personal) [PORT]: On-going project to make a new portfolio to show my character design, concept art, “splash art” and game art skills.

⟡ ݁₊ .Vtuber from scratch (personal?) [VTB]: Future project to make a vtuber from scratch from the concept and art to the twitch overlays, the goal is to accomplish making a vtuber ready to use with all the art and resources needed.

⟡ ݁₊ .Everyday 30min drawing (personal) [30DA]: Future project where I draw from a reference picture everyday and post daily with my results.

This post might suffer alterations on the future. ^^

  • This is the question I asked myself when I was thinking about this new idea, of starting a blog.

The truth is: I jump from idea to idea, falling in love with the details of making the so said idea, of the passion of researching and pulling multiple references along the way, of the excitement in dreaming about the finish result; and when I have a folder full of images, texts and videos and should start working on the idea, I fall in love with another idea. Again and again. Repeatedly.

I tried different social medias, truly did. Instagram for a bit, then Tiktok, moved to BlueSky and made a Youtube account. At the beginning of these accounts, I became obsessed with it, checking and rechecking from minute to minute to see something, and now the accounts are there, dead and begging to be resurrected.

Yet, with my last hope of finding a place to call my own, I started this blog, this site where I can (and want) post every thought and project that comes to mind.

But hey? Who are you? I’m Lavi, a brazilian artist at the beginning of a concept art course and a digital games course, among other unrelated courses as well (only proving my point that I’m an all-over-the-place mess). My goal with this site, this blog, is to have a little place where I can post anything, any projects, ideas, or random thoughts, and also keep track of everything.

Still, this is a public site that anyone can find, and is with hope that I can only dream of influencing you a bit, helping you figure out whatever you want to figure out along with my process. Maybe you like seeing my art or maybe you are trying to learn to make games too. Who knows?

What can I expect to find here?
A bit of everything if I’m honest. Currently, I have 2 webcomic ideas, 1 world I want to construct more, small game ideas, and some portfolio arts I want to make, and I’m also participating in this year’s ArtFight.

You might have noticed the title has a “[INFO]” thing and that’s because it will be my way of tagging the type of post I’ll make (I have no idea how to use the tags on the site yet). If you look a bit to the left on this site, you’ll find the “How to find what you are looking for” page under the portfolio page; it should have a list of the major “tags” so you can search for them and find the related posts.

I might come back later and edit this, I’m at my 9th revision and every time I think of posting this, I want to put just a little more information.

If you are reading this on July 1st, 2025, this is the first version of this post and the site should look simple at the moment. Thank you for your attention and I hope you have the nicest day/nig
